What Is This Tool?
WhatsMyDevice.com shows what your browser knows about your device. We display data from standard Web APIs - some values are exact (IP, browser, OS), while others are estimates or ranges (RAM, storage quota). We're transparent about the difference.
Why Privacy Matters
We don't store your data. Everything runs in your browser using standard APIs. Check your WebRTC leak status and browser fingerprint with peace of mind.
How Accurate Is This?
✓ Accurate: IP address, browser, OS, WebRTC, cookies, permissions. ⚠ Estimates: RAM (bucket values like 4/8/16GB), storage quota (not disk size), connection type (heuristic). Browsers intentionally limit hardware details for privacy.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q.How do I check my IP address instantly?
Simply visit WhatsMyDevice.com. Your public IP is detected on page load and displayed in the Network section.
Q.Can I see my GPU model in the browser?
Yes, our Deep Mode uses WebGL to identify your graphics card vendor and renderer, along with technical stats like max texture size.
Q.What is a WebRTC leak?
A WebRTC leak occurs when your real IP is exposed through the browser even if you are using a VPN. Our security section checks for this specifically.
Q.Why does it say 'Estimated' for some values?
Browsers don't expose exact hardware specs for privacy. RAM shows as 2/4/8/16GB buckets, not exact amounts. Storage shows the browser's max quota, not your actual disk. '4G' connection type is a speed estimate - WiFi and Ethernet also show as '4g' if fast.
Q.Is this like AIDA64 or CPU-Z?
No. Native tools can read exact hardware details. Browsers intentionally hide this information. We show what the browser CAN see - which is still useful for troubleshooting, but not a full hardware spec.
